The Next Star Arts Program is a registered 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization founded by Amma Gatty based in Richmond, VA. When Next Star opened its doors in September 2015, our founder had one primary goal in mind, to see children succeed in life. Her belief that every child is destined to accomplish great things if motivated in the right way is the driving force behind the organization’s mission. With the events of 2020, we slightly redirected our focus to developing valuable leadership skills in children that intentionally promote acceptance, appreciation and engagement with diverse cultures using the arts. What began as a local organization quickly evolved to become far-reaching when we pivoted to offering online programs and reaching children from all over the world.
