West African Drum Circle & Dance

Facilitator: Mr. Kojjo Opoku-Reeves











Kojjo is a native of Ghana, West Africa. Through the ministry of movement, he brings a fresh wind of worship expressing the love, hope and power of God in a unique and unusual way.


He has been instrumental in building arts ministries both in Ghana and the United States.  A member of Divine Dance Institute (MD),  he also serves in movement ministries of the Life Church and Action Chapel in Virginia.


He continues to challenge, engage, and restore people back to the throne room through dance and mime. He is the Founder/Director of Heritage Village Project and the Dance & Drum Ensemble. Married and blessed with three God sent children, Kojjo strongly believes whatever he is and hope to be is by the grace of God.

Science & The Arts

2017-18 Teacher of Year, Mrs. Takelia Bragg has been inspiring students to explore science inside and outside of the classroom for nearly a decade.

After earning a degree from University of Toledo in 2008. Mrs. Bragg relocated to North Carolina, where she expands young minds as a middle school science teacher.

Mrs. Bragg is an advocate for students learning science through travel and has spent many summers with her students abroad. Costa Rica, Ireland and Greece have all served as an amazing outdoor laboratory for learning. These days you will find Mrs. Bragg inspiring her 8th grade students to learn about the wonderful world of science or offering her expertise in science workshops and private tutoring sessions.

Facilitator: The Next Star Team










The Next Star Team comprises of individuals who have played leadership roles in various capacities including, corporate, church and community, a  certified Life Coach and  a Teacher.  The Team works with  students to provide them the skills needed to succeed in life using the Arts as a vehicle.  

Leadership & Etiquette workshops such as this provides the opportunity for students to learn common courtesies and tools needed to excel in all spheres of life.
